This Domain Management Policy (“Policy”) outlines the guidelines, procedures, and responsibilities for managing domain names through TAS Belize (“Provider,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By utilizing our domain management services, you agree to adhere to this Policy. This document aims to ensure clarity, transparency, and effective domain management practices.
- Domain Registration and Ownership
- Registration: We facilitate domain name registrations on behalf of clients through accredited domain registrars. Registration is subject to the terms and conditions of the respective registrar.
- Ownership: The client is recognized as the legal owner of the registered domain name. We act as the domain registrar’s agent for registration and management purposes.
- Domain Transfer and Renewal
- Transfer: Clients may transfer their domain to or from our services as needed. We will assist in facilitating the transfer process following the registrar’s guidelines.
- Renewal: Clients are responsible for timely domain renewal to prevent expiration. We will send renewal reminders, but the ultimate responsibility lies with the client.
- Domain Contact Information
- Accuracy: Clients are responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date contact information associated with their domain registration, including administrative, technical, billing, and registrant contacts.
- Notification: We will communicate important domain-related information to the provided contact email addresses. It’s crucial to ensure these addresses are current and actively monitored.
- Domain Privacy and WHOIS Information
- Privacy: Domain privacy services are available to protect clients’ personal information from public visibility in the WHOIS database. This service may incur additional charges.
- Domain Disputes and Legal Matters
- Legal Disputes: We do not take part in disputes over domain ownership or infringement matters. Clients are responsible for resolving any legal disputes involving their registered domain names.
- Compliance: Clients are expected to adhere to all applicable laws and regulations when selecting, using, and managing domain names.
- Domain Suspension and Termination
- Suspension: We reserve the right to suspend domain services for violations of this Policy, non-payment, or breaches of the registrar’s terms.
- Termination: We do not terminate domain services without client request or expiration, except in cases of policy violation or legal requirement.
- Domain Management Services
- Service Requests: Clients can initiate domain-related service requests, including registration, renewal, transfer, and privacy services, through our designated communication channels.
This Domain Management Cancellation Policy (“Cancellation Policy”) outlines the procedures, responsibilities, and expectations for canceling domain management services provided by TAS Belize (“Provider,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using our domain management services, you agree to adhere to this Cancellation Policy. This document aims to provide clarity and transparency regarding the cancellation process.
- Cancellation Request
- Cancellation Process: Clients who wish to cancel domain management services must submit a cancellation by filling out our ‘Cancelation of Service Agreement: Domain Management’ form [HERE].
- Confirmation of Cancellation: Upon receiving a cancellation request, we will review and process the request within 3 business days. An email confirmation will be sent to the client’s registered email address, confirming the cancellation and providing relevant details.
- Cancellation Fees
- Standard Cancellation: For clients canceling domain management services, no cancellation fees apply. However, certain top-level domains (TLDs) may have non-refundable registration or renewal fees.
- Domain Privacy Services: If domain privacy services were activated, any associated fees are non-refundable upon cancellation.
- Domain Transfer and Ownership
- Ownership Transfer: Upon cancellation, the client retains ownership of the registered domain name. Clients are responsible for initiating any necessary domain transfers to their preferred registrar.
- Domain Expiry and Renewal
- Renewal Responsibility: Upon cancellation, clients are responsible for ensuring the timely renewal of their domain to prevent expiration and potential loss of ownership.
- Payment Obligations
- Outstanding Payments: Clients must settle any outstanding payments, including domain renewal fees before the cancellation takes effect.
- Service Charge:
- Upon submitting a cancellation request, clients are advised that a standard service charge of $150 BZD per domain will apply. This fee encompasses all the necessary administrative and technical procedures required to diligently prepare and facilitate the seamless transfer of the client’s domain.
- Please note that the service charge is independent of any outstanding payments and does not encompass any ongoing subscription fees or charges accrued during the period of service.
- Termination of Services
- Cancellation Effective Date: The cancellation of domain management services takes effect upon confirmation of the cancellation request, as communicated via email.
- Refusal of Service
- Abuse of Policy: We reserve the right to refuse domain management services to clients who abuse our cancellation policy or exhibit patterns of frequent subscription and cancellation.
Amendments
- Policy Updates: We may update or modify this Domain Management & Cancellation Policy from time to time. Users will be notified of any changes via email or through our website. Continued use of our services after policy changes indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
