Agriculture is vital to our country’s economy. it provides income to a large sector of the country and provides foreign exchange to the economy.

The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) plays a significant role in developing and strengthening the agriculture sector in Belize. They provide technical assistance, bringing in innovative technologies THROUGH THE GOB for good agriculture practice. IICA, since 2010, has focused its efforts on the family farming agriculture sector. Family farming agriculture is vital to the family survival of farmers as well as the restoration of the farmland.
