Logo Design
The name Formosa (福爾摩沙) dates from 1542 when Portuguese sailors sighted an uncharted island and noted it on their maps as Ilha Formosa (“beautiful island”). Through its rapid development, the entire Formosan mainland eventually became known as “Taiwan”.
For the logo design, we took the actual map of the beautiful island of Taiwan and incorporated it into the brand identity of Formosa Cafe; a place where you can find amazing coffee, oriental food, homemade dessert & ice cream, and ultimately a little bit of Taiwan in Belize.

We took a collaborative, hands-on approach to Formosa signage design, staying consistent with the brand identity.
